2. It seems to me that you do not give the English translation for inflected forms. Maybe the best would be to write first the corresponding lemma (base form) and then the English meaning of this lemma. You find these informations in the greek-analyses file.

So it might look like this:

Almost done,

the file includes ALL the greek words of the greek analyses .txt (except proper nouns and words starting with exclamation mark).

60.000 more words . I decided to preserve the beta code transliteration so that a player-student could retrieve the "lost" punctuation.

I also kept the English translation of the words-lemmata for the non Greek speaking friends .All these can be found under the menu>Game>word search

I plan to incorporate later the word list of New and Old Testament to the main body of this dictionary

Linhart , at the same folder with greek analyses .txt (diogenis software) , i found a file named greek lemmata.txt with a different structure.

I suppose (hope) that the words it contains , already exist in greek analyses.txt

I hope to finish the task by the end of Jyly 2013

Ok I see,

So greek-analyses.txt may contain different forms (inflected etc) of a word , but not necessarily the lemma of a word, whereas the result of the search I did contains the lemmas of words.

Working with the greek-analyses.txt, I omitted the words which start with an asterisk (capital letter).
The attached file contains these words , which indeed seem to be proper names, but the first 352 words start with an exclamation mark (!). Any idea about these group of words?

I also deleted everything that was between { } at the original greekanalyses.txt (although there were some greek words in brackets).

Converting the transcription is in fact rather easy, since e.g. Omega is encoded by w and Eta by h.

Just have a look at the transcription table at http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/morph?l=dh=mon&la=greek !

I use the portable edition of notepad++ v5.9.6.2 (unicode).
Settings > Style configurator > Font style > font name , I have chosen Palatino Linotype . [[File:??? - ?????? bitmap.PNG|none|auto]] No more problems with ancient greek polytonic characters

I 'd like to thank you all for the nice piece of software.I 've completed the translation to Hellenic (Greek) language. I' ve tested the file with the windows version of scrabble3d , and so far seems to work ok (winxp, win7 os). Please, be free to contact me if you notice a bug or anything else, in order to fix it.

One thing that needs to be done, is to make the greek flag appear by the entry hellenic.lang , at the menu language field (see the attached screenshot)
I hope Scotty could fix it , in a future version of scrabble3d.
