Background images for Scrabble3D board

In this thread you will find background images that can be loaded in Scrabble3D (from test version 28e, 2012-11-17) and that will be shown as "wallpaper" on the Scrabble3D board in the 2D view.

I have several to contribute!

My father went into the hospital again in Nov. 11th last year, and I am just now beginning to find some normalcy in my life again...for now. I'm sorry this keeps happening, but unfortunately if just can't be avoided from time to time. :(

I need this test version though, to be sure these images are useable before I post them.

May I have it, please?

Would you like to engage in 3D modelling? There are Open Source programs like Blender and Wings3D that can be used to create full featured scenes.

I thought these were supposed to be "wallpaper"...not a fully rendered "scene".

Bussinchen asked me to post my marble background in the linked thread, and then moved her request over here.

However, fully rendered 3D scenes would look amazing for the 3D games.

In any case, is there a place where I can download this test version so that I can try it out?

I myself have not tested if background wallpaper works with Patch 29.
Maybe Scotty could answer.

But you can get Patch 29 from here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/scrabble/files/Main_Program/
or simply update your program:
Configuration > Settings > Options --> Button "Check now"

I have found the app data folder, but what does the background have to be called? is there a size limitation? Does it have to be a *.BMP file?

Alright, here are some screen caps of the program, with a custom wallpaper imported! The files are attached to this post.







And as you can see, the marble one just doesn't look so good, even after I tried and tried to make it look better.



I wonder what the problem with the colors is?

I solved the problem!!

The "normal" field color MUST be set to black!



NOW look at them! They look beautiful!! Thank you, Scotty!! Bussinchen, go and try to change your "normal" field to black, and see if your background doesn't look better!





I couldn't be happier! Not only do the backgrounds work, but you can actually TINT the background with whatever color you choose for a field, if you use the color, rather than a BMP image! I LOVE that!
