There was a l33t tileset for Scrabble, which is currently no longer available, which contained 103 tiles:
0 points: * ×3 (wildcard) 1 point: E ×6, N ×6, R ×6, A ×4, I ×4, L ×4, O ×4, U ×4, T ×3, S ×2 2 points: 3 ×6, 1 ×5, 4 ×5, D ×4, 0 ×4, G ×3, Z ×3, 7 ×3 3 points: X ×4, B ×2, C ×2, M ×2, P ×2 4 points: F ×2, H ×2, V ×2, W ×2, Y ×2 5 points: K ×1 6 points: J ×1 10 points: Q ×1
Could something similar be ported into Scrabble3D? I think I know how to make the tileset but not the dictionary... This one has more X's to make more l33t phrases (such as h4x0r). The numbers 3, 1, 4, 0, 7 can be used to replace E, I, A, O, T. I was also considering adding 2 ( tiles, since ( looks similar to C. All tiles in this tileset will contain a single character, no double lettered tiles.
Digraphs are just a special case that replaces one character by two (or more) to simulate letters like LL. What you have in mind is a replacement of E=3, A=4 etc. which can be done easily. In order to have a dictionary you may also want to replace all these chars in the text file.
The original l33t tileset contained both the letter and number forms of these letters, with the number forms being worth an extra point. So if there were both 0's and O's, the word LOOK could be spelled as L0OK, LO0K, or L00K.
The 2 extra X's probably might have also been added to replace "ks" or "cks", as in something like G33X (could also be spelled as GEEKS, GEEX, OR G33KS)

There is an asterisk tile shown in the picture, which is supposed to be a blank. Is it possible to put symbols on blanks?

The 2 extra X's probably might have also been added to replace "ks" or "cks", as in something like G33X (could also be spelled as GEEKS, GEEX, OR G33KS). The X is worth less points due to it being used more often in l33t than English.
