The First Mind Sports Festival will take place from 1 December - 4 December, 2012, in Prague.

Mit diesem Scrabble-Brett kann ein Spiel unmittelbar ins Internet übertragen werden, also echt live. Das wär doch auch was für den SDeV, jetzt wo die Aussichten auf sprudelnde Einnahmen ganz gut sind. Kostet ja bloß 20.000 Pfund, dieses Wunderding.

(This is a somewhat sarcastic comment on the fact that the German Scrabble Association SDeV is thinking about earning copyright fees for the commercial use of the German wordlist. I am not able to translate it adequately.)

Mir fällt übrigens auf, dass dieses Brett am Rand genauso beschriftet ist wie bei uns, also am linken Rand mit Buchstaben und am oberen Rand mit Zahlen. Im Englischsprachigen ist es nämlich normalerweise umgekehrt.

I notice that this Scrabble board looks like a German one, with letters at the left border and numbers on top. Usually with English boards it is just the other way round.

This Scrabble Referee approach is cheaper and can achieve the same results, :)
